Does the weather affect your fishing chances? It’s raining and I’m thinking about taking my chances.

Ho, da weather, yeah, dat can affect your fishing chances big time! But rainy days can be some of da best days for catch fish, lemme tell you dat, braddah!

You see, when it rains, couple tings stay happening: da rain can make da water cloudy, and dat makes da fish more blind. Like dey can’t see you, so you can get closer without scaring them off. Plus, da sound of da rain hitting da surface kinda hides da noise you make, so da fish stay more relaxed.

Also, da rain can wash in bugs, worms, and other critters into da water from da shore. Because of that, da fish gonna come close for eat all dat. Dis means action close to da banks or reefs where all da goodies stay getting washed in.

But couple tings to think about:

Safety First, Brah: If get thunder or lightning, stay home. You no like be holding one fishing pole with lightning all around, dat’s one quick way to make (die), my friend. And if da waves big and da ocean stay is all buss, das one other sign for stay outta da water. Gotta respect da ocean, yeah? FAFO!

Rain & Wind Combo: Rain alone can be good for fishing, but if da wind is strong, dat can make tings real tough. Wen da water gets all choppy, sometimes hard for feel da bite, and if you stay in one small boat, can be kinda sketchy. And if you put one bell on your pole, gonna give you some false positives.

Barometric Pressure: Da fish can sense da changes in pressure wen one storm’s coming in. Usually, right before one storm, wen da pressure stay dropping, da fish get hungry. Dey start feeding hard! But right aftah one big storm, dey can go quiet for a bit while dey reset.

So yeah, you take your chances fishing in da rain, but if da conditions are right, and you stay safe, it could be one mean (good) fishing day. Throw on your rain gear, grab your pole, and go chance ‘em! Who knows, you might land da big one today, yeah? 🤙🎣
